Post Covid, many businesses are looking to streamline some of their IT processes because they have simply not worked during the Covid period.
There’s a difference
between being unaware of how your IT works and receiving a meaningless monthly
report and seeing a strategy developed for your business and being kept
informed about how it is progressing, and discussing what’s working and what’s
not.
The issues that keep
being mentioned are;
Many
businesses have data in many locations, they fear they have multiple versions
of the same information. There is also have little structure around how the
information is stored which it very difficult to limit access of certain files
and folders which is important for finance and HR data.
Their
phone systems don’t work the way they thought they did. Phone systems are often
forgotten. It’s critical incoming calls get handled the way you want them
handled and if a staff member needs to be able to pickup a handset and take it
home, plug it in and have it just work, then that needs to happen.
How do you
ensure everyone sees the same set of data?, either in the office, at home or
when they are out and about? or using their home PC. The advantage of this is
it makes it a lot easier to back-up all your information.
Security around
your data which includes your e-mail isn’t a black hole. There some
fundamentals that need to be in place to ensure your not susceptible. Google
and Microsoft don’t guarantee your data. E-mail is the first line of attack so
it’s vital it’s protected.
Every business is
different and deserves to be treated that way, it is isn’t a case of one size
fits all.
